Manual Sync


How to sync Magento 1 and flexiPIM?

Step 1: Run Category Sync

After filling the Configuration page, the user should run category sync to import categories from flexiPIM to Magento 1 by clicking on Import Option from flexiPIM dropdown present in Main Menu.

By Clicking on the Import option, the user will be directed to the Import page. There, you can find a dropdown with multiple options for import.

  • Choose Category option, and then you can find Reindex Data & Cache Clear checkboxes along with the execute button.
  • Choose Reindex Data & Cache Clear if the user wants to run Magento reindex and Magento cache flush functionality along with category sync. (We recommend to select these checkboxes whenever you run manual sync)

Then click on the execute button to start manual category sync. After successful completion of manual sync, you can check the category page on Magento admin page for updated categories.

Step 2: Run Family Sync

Users should run family sync to import families from flexiPIM to Magento 1 by clicking on Import Option from flexiPIM dropdown present in Main Menu.

By Clicking on the Import option, the user will be directed to the Import page. There you can find a dropdown with multiple options for import.

Choose the Attribute Set option, and then you can find Reindex Data & Cache Clear checkboxes along with the execute button.

Choose Reindex Data & Cache Clear if users want to run Magento reindex and Magento cache flush functionality along with family sync (we recommend to select these checkboxes whenever you run manual sync).

Then click on the Execute button to start manual family sync. After successful completion of manual sync, you can check the catalog page on Magento admin page for updated Attribute Set.

Step 3: Attribute Set and Attribute Group Mapping

After running family syncup, users need to map flexiPIM family with Magento attribute set along with mapping flexiPIM attribute group with Magento attribute group for each attribute set. Clicking on Attribute Set Mappingoption from flexiPIM user can direct to mapping page.

This page has two sections:

  • Attribute Set
  • Groups

Under Attribute Set users can find two fields:

  • Magento attribute set name as text field- where the user needs to map
  • Magento attribute set and flexiPIM attribute set name [flexiPIM family] as a dropdown.

By choosing each flexiPIM family from flexiPIM attribute set name, attribute group section gets refreshed depending upon family selected.

In the Attribute Group section, the user needs to map flexiPIM attribute group with the Magento default attribute group.

Step 4: Run Attribute Sync

The user should run attribute sync to import attributes from flexiPIM to Magento 1 by clicking on Import Option from flexiPIM dropdown present in Main Menu.

By Clicking on the Import option, the user will be directed to the Import page. There you can find a dropdown with multiple options for import.

Choose the Attribute option, and then you can find Reindex Data & Cache Clear checkboxes along with the Execute button.

Then click on the Execute button to start manual attribute sync. After successful completion of manual sync, you can check catalog page on Magento admin page for updated Attributes.

Step 5: Attribute Mapping

After running the attribute sync up, users need to map flexiPIM attributes with Magento default attribute. Clicking on Attribute Mapping option from flexiPIM user will direct to mapping page.

Step 6: Run Product Sync

Users should run product sync to import products from flexiPIM to Magento 1 by clicking on Import Option from flexiPIM dropdown present in Main Menu.

By Clicking on the Import option, the user will be directed to the Import page, and there you can find a dropdown with multiple options for import.

Choose Product option, and then you can find Reindex Data & Cache Clear checkboxes along with the execute button.

Choose Reindex Data & Cache Clear if user want to run Magento reindex and Magento cache flush functionality along with attribute sync (we recommend to select these checkboxes whenever you run manual sync).

Then click on the Execute button to start manual product sync. After successful completion of manual sync, you can check catalog page on Magento admin page for updated products.

Step 7: Run Product Asset Sync

Users should run product asset sync to import products assets from flexiPIM to Magento 1 by clicking on Import Option from flexiPIM dropdown present in Main Menu.

By Clicking on the Import option, the user will be directed to the Import page; there you can find a dropdown with multiple options for import.

Choose Product Asset option, and then you can find Reindex Data & Cache Clear checkboxes along with the execute button.

Choose Reindex Data & Cache Clear if a user wants to run Magento reindex and Magento cache flush functionality along with attribute sync (we recommend to select these checkboxes whenever you run manual sync).

Then click on the Execute button to start manual product sync. After successful completion of manual sync, you can check catalog page on Magento admin page for updated Product Assets.
